Construction Outline
Summit Mall HongKou is located in HongKou District with Park Road to its south, XiJiangWan Road to its east, GuiHua Road to its north and ZhongShanBei Road to its west.  It is opposite to HongKou Football Stadium and occupies in total an area of 29,879m2. The unique design and superior location of Summit Mall HongKou have turned it into an essential traffic hub .The Mall combines a four leveled underground space, a ten leveled podium and a forty leveled tower into a large integrated architecture of commerce, entertainment, and traffic. It includes many utilities such as parking place, bus stop, supermarket, department store, cinema, aquarium, ballroom,hotel and etc. Summit Mall HongKou has a total architectural area of about 320,000 square meters that qualifies it to be a city within the city.

 

Construction Layout
In Summit Mall HongKou, the four underground levels are designed as follows: Level B3 and B4 are parking areas, facility warehouses and hotel storages. Level B2, which is on the same level of the Metro line platform, leads to a 900m2 underground plaza. From the underground plaza, passengers can get to both level B1 and ground level and to the Pearl Line on the level 5. What's more, they can go through the eighteen-meter wide channel to reach the taxi station on level B2. One side of the channel is the supermarket and department store for sports.  Level B1 has the same structure as level B2 and both levels are of a height 5.2 meters.
On the ground, there is a 40-leveled tower in the east part of the mall. Level 1 is the front hall shared by two hotels; level 9 is used as ballroom for meeting and conference; level 10 is a gym with a swimming pool and a garden on the roof. 
Podium is made up of by shopping center from level 1 to level 7 and the aquarium from level 8 to level 10. A strip-shaped corridor and the design threads through all levels of the shopping center surround a department store of three thousand square meters. A cinema with 10 halls is on both level 6 and level 7 and areas of food court are along the side of the atriums in level 8. Level 8 to 10 are aquarium with a huge fish tank weighed 5000ton. In addition with excellent traffic system, the Summit Mall HongKou certainly contributes greatly to the development of the whole district. 

 

Traffic Organization
1.  Public Communication
Summit Mall HongKou connects Metro Line #8 and Pearl Line light trail both of which are directly accessible through the mall. The three bus terminals to the north are close to the entrance of the mall. The taxi station on level B2 can hold 50 taxis at one time.With all these advantages, Summit Mall HongKou can provide maximum efficiency and convenience to people. 

2. Parking Space
The parking space for motor vehicles is located in level B3 and B4. There are two separately accesses one on park Road and the other on GuiHua Road. In total 859 vehicles can be parked within this area and in addition a parking area for 3 buses is provided on level B1and 3 VIP cars on the ground. An area of 2,958m2 on level B1 and B2 provides bicycle parking for the personnel of the mall.
